Lookin' Up

Why are ceiling medallions so expensive? It's not like this was hand carved...pretty sure they just poured some goopy stuff into a mould. Maybe it's expensive goopy stuff.

There's Some White

See right there? There is some white. Just a little...but I say it counts.

On a side note. Dear church. You need a nicer railing for photos. Just saying.

Tripped on the White Line

ran from you the other day
tripped on the white line
as i crossed this space
a guard beckoned and
held a red sign; motioned
to stop perpendicular movement
jumped into the heights
above the vehicles
and flew away into the clouds

I had not planned anything to write today. So the above creation is what happens when I just start typing. But the photo's go with the "White" challenge.

White

This is the start of my photo challenge. First topic is "white". And since alot of things are apparently white, next week will be the photos I took for topic one! And if you didn't notice, it is winter. And we have snow. Which makes alot of things white...so it took some extra time to ignore the snow covered objects. And now that I think of it....it would of been funny to me to just take a photo of a piece of white paper. In the snow.

And since post are no fun without photos, I'll acutally start today.

Part One

It's almost Christmas. That's an exciting enough statement nothing else needs to be said. Enjoy part one of my indoor herb garden.

Princess Cupcakes!

Princess Cupcakes!!
That is my way of cursing. Change unhappy and swear words to good things.
It amuses me.
Alot.
I was trying to change the blog layout and ended up losing my header photo. Which makes me sad cause I'm pretty sure it was awesome.
Excuse me while I go search my computer for the file...Sparkle Elephants!!!

Mirror Mirror On The Wall...

...Who is the fairest one of all? After saying itself because of the swirly awesomeness my mirror said I am. But I think it was just being nice. We have alot of hammers in the house right now.

S is for...

Stark, silly, sunshine, salsa, shiny, sparkles, sugar, super-duper, seahorse, stars, swim, snow, salute, steam, shark, summer, stainless steel, stripes, shoes. And swedish berries. But that only half counts.

Tick Tock

time is stagnant
in a world ever changing
to fully live in the present
would be to fully live
not dreaming of futures
or longing for pasts
not wondering what could be
but smiling with what is
~s.e.

its like an awesome shiny pig bank that distracts you while eating all your money. or not. that was my attempt to link the pig to the post. which i now see has my reflection in its snout. photo fail.

Cooking!

I have learned that you cannot take a photo of boiling water that looks like the water is acutally boiling and not just shaking. Quite enligtening really.

Wood You?

Not sure where I found/got this piece, but it is really cool. (I almost said "neat"!) It hides our natural gas meter quite well.

Tasty Carrots

Carrots, garlic, butter, puff pastry...some awesome looking steam. Other than sticking to the pan a little, this was a tasty side dish!

Spaghetti Sauce

It started out as individual items on a counter. Now they are one and in jars...eagerly waiting their pasta debut!

Cooked Chard

So this was the chard after being cooked. Does it look appetizing? I can't tell because I know it wasn't.

Silver

I find that plastic plant pot plates provide proper protection, but isn't a silver one just way nicer!?

(And how 'bout that alliteration!? Maybe not a gold winning one, but maybe silver?! Oh gosh, I crack me up this morning.)

Swiss Chard

So, in my defense, this looked alot like rhubarb when it was just a little plant. And now that we have realized it is not the tasty pie filling we thought it to be, I figured I might as well see if it is a tasty non-pie filling food.

Conclusion: It is not tasty. It is not good. It tastes like dirt...but it sure looks pretty.

Lettuce

Lettuce just seems really photogenic.

Rainy Day

If it wasn't so hot outside (and moreso in my non air conditioned house), it might be a nice day to light some candles. I swear yesterday my thermostat just said "too hot". Ok, maybe it just said 28.5 degrees...BUT if it had the ability to have words marqueing across it's screen I'm sure it would of said it was a touch warm.

How much is that kitty in the window?

Curley Cue

How cool is a cucumber plant? Reminds me of curled ribbon on Christmas presents. The present that you put that extra little effort into by grabbing the scissors and creativley pulling the blade against the ribbon. Not everyone gets the curly ribbon you know.
